I recently pledged some money to support a project on Kickstarter.com and I wanted to help spread the word about the project. The guys over at Highspots.com flew over to England to record a shoot interview with the Dynamite Kid which is pretty cool. But they soon realized that his story would make a great full-blown documentary (and I agree!)
When I was a kid I was a big fan of the British Bulldogs and since I wasn’t as knowledgable about the business back then I never really thought too much about it when the team split up and Dynamite disappeared from my TV. I’ve read a lot online about him being a jerk or a bitter old man now, but I am intrigued to hear his story. That’s why I backed this project. I also think it’s important for as many old school wrestlers as possible to get their stories out there so the public can hear them. Unfortunately a lot of wrestlers from 20 or 30 years ago will not be remembered because they didn’t get an opportunity like this, so whenever something comes along that can get that history out there I try to help.
