SATURDAY NIGHT SLAMMASTERS!
Saturday May 11th 2013
FUN HAVEN, Ottawa Ontario
Saturday night May 11th 2013, Fun Haven in Ottawa Ontario Canada was home to another stacked and stellar, action packed C*4 show. Capital City Championship Combat (C*4) presented SATURDAY NIGHT SLAMMASTERS! The venue was a very nice place and with early birds like me, there was a lot of fun stuff to do like arcades while waiting for doors to open. At first I didn’t think the room the show was held was big enough but in fact was quite spacious.
Adam Sky and Liam Letto defeated Matt Maverick and Branden Slayer
-Tabarnak De Team defeated The Hunks, Jae Rukin and Brent B. and MVP and Ethan Page in a surprise fatal four way to retain the C*4 TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY!
-Travis Toxic defeated Leon St. Giovanni
– Alex Vega defeated Cheech Hernandez
-“Dirty” Buxx Belmar defeated Sexxxy Eddy and Pinkie Sanchez in a three way.
-Vanessa Kraven, Jody D’Milo and Angie Sky defeated Twiggy, Giant Tiger and Garry Banacheck with Matthew Ryan Shapiro in their corner. Vanessa was the sole survivor of her team.
-Scotty O’Shea defeated Amasis
-The Afterparty defeated The Super Smash Brothers
-Scotty O’Shea defeated Josh Alexander to become the NEW C*4 CHAMPION!
A night of surprises and shocking outcomes this past Saturday night Capital City Championship combat has raised the bar. A night where a new champion was crowned, a huge upset in tag action and some stuff that we shouldn’t have to see all took place on this night of wrestling. I won’t go into much detail as I wasn’t really focusing on every match but will give a few pointers.
There was an announcement that part of the card had changed. However, it changed for the better as the tag team championship went from a standard tag match to a fatal four way adding two teams. I thought that change was great as it was nice to see The Hunks back in a C*4 ring. It was great to see Travis Toxic make his debut in Ottawa. I’m such a huge fan of his work. Sure, he’s young but has so much potential I can’t wait to see more. Looks like the crowd took a liking to this talented youngster. There were three matches however that really stood out to me. The first being the three way match with Buxx Belmar, Pinkie Sanchez and Sexxxy Eddy. Now I thought I saw everything and I haven’t. In wrestling…..they say you’ve seen nothing yet. This was a must see, very entertaining contest. A few fans got their lucky moments. Kisses from these three unique and unusual individuals made for a great laugh and good time throughout the crowd. Even a referee couldn’t help it and nearly stripped naked…..thank the lord it didn’t go past his shirt. The power of the PINKIE!
The second match that stood out to me was the main event title match that was supposed to be Mike Bailey getting his much deserved chance at the title. However, Scotty O’Shea attacked Bailey and convinced Josh to put his championship on the line. The finish came when Mike Bailey limped back out and missed Scotty with a key board shot to the head hitting Josh and allowing Scotty to roll the champion for the 1-2-3! AND NEW C*4 CHAMPION! “THE HACKER” SCOTTY O’SHEA! Under “Ronin’s Rules” where anything goes, Scotty O’Shea used it to his advantage and walked out of FUN HAVEN ten pounds heavier. In my books, Hacker deserves it and busted his ass to get to where he is….your NEW C*4 CHAMPION!
The third match that stood out to me was the tag team match with The Afterparty facing off against The Super Smash Brothers. This match has to be one of my favorite tag team matches I’ve seen at a C*4 show. The Afterparty really stepped up their game the past couple of shows and this match really made them. It was a much needed win and a huge one at that. If you want to make a name for yourself take notes from The Afterparty in this match. I truly think they earned a spot back in the title picture after this win, after this match.
Overall, it was a great night of pro wrestling. This is what you can expect and more at Capital City Championship Combat every month or so. Everyone who steps into a C*4 ring always delivers no matter where they are on the card. They work their asses off for the fans and work so hard. The C*4 fans are so dedicated and passionate and love being there. The energy and vibe is overwhelming and the action is incredible. From top to bottom, bonus to main, C*4 always delivers a top notch night of pro wrestling.
There isn’t much else for me to say so I guess I’ll be front row for the next event. Back home at The Knights of Columbous Hall in Ottawa on June 15th 2013. There will also be an Inter Species Wrestling show that afternoon in the same place. I will say it is nights like May 11th 2013 that makes me a pro wrestling fan. If you haven’t seen Capital City Championship Combat….I’d get on that. You’re missing out on the best in pro wrestling.
