5 Questions With…
I first saw Sami wrestle live for 2CW in Oswego, NY on Sept.17, 2011 and he became the newest wrestler to watch out for to me. Since then I’ve seen him several other times and he never disappoints! He sort of reminded me of a real life Tasmanian devil! These questions were asked on April 20, 2013, the same night as 2CW‘s first ever foray into internet broadcasting…free of charge! At the time, it was rumored that Sami was going to the WWE. Just listen to his response when I asked him what his future plans were! Quite the character. Anyway, it’s known worldwide now the he’s headed to “Connecticut”. As dumb as this may sound, I’m really going to miss seeing him on the Indy scene and hanging out with him at the events. What a cool guy. Best of luck to him!
As usual, I’ll type out the Q&A but make sure to check out the video as there is much more to the interview. Enjoy!!
1.) Which wrestler made you want to get into the business?
“Mixture of guys. When I was younger, everyone else liked Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior. I was a Vader & Yokozuna & Bam Bam Bigelow type guy. I liked the big bruiser guys that just made things look so much more real & intense & feisty.”
“There’s been a lot of ’em but I’d hafta say Fit Finlay.I had three battles with him all over the world. I wrestled him in the United States. Wrestled him in England. I wrestled him in Germany and all three times were like the match of my career. I went 45 minutes with him in Canada and it was ridiculous.”
3.) What was your greatest match?
“There’s been a lot of ’em but I’d hafta say either my matches with Finlay, one of my matches with AR Fox, or my series of matches with Adam Cole. Just guys that just clicked.” (I then mention his match with Rhino at House Of Hardcore that I was at) “I loved that match as well, that match was amazing.”
4.) What was your worst injury?
“Probably wrestling in Cage Of Death (CZW). 25 stitches going down my spine. So that’s probably my worst injury.”

Thanks Sami! Best of luck!
